I will try and update the rules if I can find time... BUT the biggest change that I needed to get out there is the SPEC Slash Class is becoming the RTR "KIT SPEC" class.
The RTR Kit SPEC Class will have similar rules to the SPEC Slash of 2011 but allow all manufacturers chassis in the RTR kit form... except as mentioned with the slash, shock caps, hubs, pinions, spurs, shock oil, and of course radio/receivers and Bodies can be different. Everything else like servo, esc, motors, tires will all be from the RTR kit. This class is for the off the shelf driver looking to get their feet wet or the seasoned driver not looking to do motor, esc or tire of the week battles. It includes both the brushless and brushed kits. It does not allow for you to use a Factory team kit with RTR electronics.
This will be the cheapest class to run out at the track and hope people will continue to support it.
If things like this dont work out.... 2013 may just have to go to a sportsman and pro division setup where all classes would be open motor just split by competition level, and of course sandbaggers
RTR KIT SPEC CLASS
2S Hardcase Lipo or 6 Cell Nimh (the 7cell kit batter is the only Kit item not allowed)
All RTR Electronics for that vehicle! Radio Gear can be changed(no Traxxas electronics in Associated Car)
Kit tires that were sold for that vehicle
All kit parts other than shock caps, hubs, spur, pinion, shock oil, recievers, radio, body
Both Brushed and Brushless kits allowed
The rules and guides to help you get your car or truck dialed in. Please note that these need a little bit of revision for 2011 but should be a great start for you!
